Welcome to one of the Queertical pizza nights
(also [un]known as Squish pub quiz) <3
To be clear: WORM didn’t turn into a pizzeria, but you are more than welcome to order your own pizza and get it delivered during the event, the Squish team will make sure it arrives warm on your table.
QUEERTICAL PIZZA is a series of pub quizzes on queer cultures and History. Squish pub quizzes are like homemade pizzas: a lot of options, a bit (sometimes too much) of everything, tailored made for a specific audience, gezellig, cute but with surprising visual aspect. This time, it will be a seated event with a maximum of 30 people; and each group of two quiz teams will be sitting 1.5 meters apart from the others.
Beside providing love and queerness, we will offer to the three first teams lovely sextoys given by our sponsors Enby & Other Nature.
This event will also be the official launch of our publication Fruity Zine; an exploration into queer ideologies and current thought that you will find on our merchandise table shared with Underbelly (Mariëtte who also organizes re#sister events has selected queer and feminist literature). A good thing to know is that Squish publications and stickers are accessible to everyone regardless of their financial wealth because of their “give what you want or what you can” price.
After the event, we invite you to join the RÆV REHEARSAL, an initiative exploring protest as a performance and performance as a form of protest; and exploring how to come together and dance while clubs are closed.
Starting from WORM Rotterdam, they'll be hacking the city centre and centre and invest the public space with our moving collective dance on a techno beat, respecting at all times social distancing
Join the swarm!

The Fruity Zine
It's a publication released on a 6-week basis distributed in creative spaces across Rotterdam and for sale on our website. We launched this project with an exploratory radio show on the Squish radio channel produced from WORM, where we discussed as a team our experiences as queer people and the values that we hold close to our hearts as queer womxn, as a queer organisation, as queer artists, we called this the Fruity Manifesto. This list of values includes themes like recognition of fluidity, patience, loving anarchy, and they will act as themes for the upcoming issues of Fruity. This first issue includes an editor’s letter from publications director Maïté Moloney, a transcription of our group discussion about our values as queer people as well as some shots taken on the night from photographer Maja Faber, and a copy of our Fruity Manifesto.
Since the Covid-19 pandemic, nightclubs have been closed and the right to demonstrate is under pressure. With RÆV REHEARSAL, we explore protest as a performance and performance as a form of protest. Throughout the summer, we will be hacking the streets of Rotterdam with a series of rehearsals, igniting the public space, reclaiming sociality. With bluetooth speakers, glowing shoes, floating inflatable sculptures and a minimalist techno beat, we move through the city like a radiating dancing swarm. Stairs, roundabouts and benches become temporary stages. How to interact with each other, the traffic, the architecture and the local residents? How do you initiate patterns of movement in crowds? Which movements unleash energy and a sense of freedom?
During the months of June and July we have developed our swarming system, rehearsing every week with professional dancers and ravers. On the 30th of July is the last rehearsal of our creation period, and we would like you to join our swarm! Leaving from WORM Rotterdam, we'll be hacking the city centre and invest the public space with our moving collective dance, respecting at all times social distancing.
Following up to this date, our grand RÆV REHEARSALS will happen in secret locations through Rotterdam on the 7th, 14th and 20th of August with a large group of 100-150 ravers, and later on on the 15th, 16th and 17th of October in Amsterdam for the Amsterdam Dance Event. If you join us on the 30th, you are more than welcome to become part of the swarm and come on those dates too!
